Review by Henry Jubarah

Afrika by Afrika is a captivating album that takes listeners on a journey through the diverse musical landscape of the African continent. The album features a wide range of traditional African rhythms and instruments, as well as contemporary influences from jazz, funk, and soul.

The album opens with the energetic and upbeat "Afrika," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The track features lively percussion and horns, creating a festive and celebratory atmosphere. "Soweto" follows with a more laid-back groove, showcasing the smooth vocals of the lead singer.

Throughout the album, Afrika by Afrika showcases its versatility, seamlessly blending different genres and styles. "Dudu" is a soulful ballad that highlights the emotive power of the lead singer's voice, while "Mali" incorporates elements of funk and jazz, with a driving bassline and intricate guitar work.

Everyone recorded covers back in the 70s, and the closer it sounded like the original artist the more credible it was.
