About Blackfoot

Classic Southern rock band that formed in 1969 as "Fresh Garbage" in Jacksonville, Florida. They changed their name to "Hammer" but changed it again in 1970 after hearing about another band with the same name. Blackfoot was then born. The following years were up and down for the band as members changed.

WITH I GOT A LINE ON YOU, TRAIN TRAIN, WISHING WELL AND the Magnificent HIGHWAY SONG this album has to impress hard rock fans.Overall its a foot stomping, direct guitar attack focussed on delivering the heaviest of southern rock out there.Its metallic, fast and hot maybe but it has heart and character a plenty and its an undervalued offering in the Metal stakes in my view.

Saw Blackfoot, Marshall Tucker & Charlie Daniels Band at the Frank D Lawrence Stadium in Portsmouth,VA as my first Concert that was Promoted as "The Main Event" I snuck away from my grandma's house to see where my older cousins had gone and seen them being pulled over the Stadium Wall for 1 U.S. dollar!! Being a paper boy at 11 or 12 years old and mowing lawns... I knew it would be a dollar well spent... I just did not realize the ass whooping I would receive soon after!!!???
