  • This Dutch LP has almost no overlap with the original Down In The Village album. It's actually the Sugar & Spice LP from the year before with one track substituted ('Today's World' is replaced by 'High And Low') and two tracks added (both sides of the 1970 single 'Down In The Village' / 'No Point Of View'). As such it could just as easily be listed as a variation of the Sugar & Spice LP but the title would probably lead to confusion. But make no mistake, this is basically the Sugar & Spice LP.

Curtis Knight (May 9, 1929 - November 29, 1999) was born Mont Curtis McNear. An American musician and writer he was closely associated with Jimi Hendrix who he performed with. Knight wrote two books about him; Starchild and Jimi: An Intimate Biography Of Jimi Hendrix. Between 1973 and 1974 he also fronted .
