Review by Ambar Johnson

Summerwind, the latest album by Danielsson Fresu, is a beautiful and captivating jazz masterpiece. The duo, consisting of bassist Lars Danielsson and trumpeter Paolo Fresu, have created a collection of songs that showcase their incredible musical talents and deep understanding of the jazz genre.

The album opens with the title track, "Summerwind," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its smooth and melodic sound. The duo's improvisational skills are on full display in tracks like "Baltic" and "Taquito Militar," where they effortlessly weave in and out of each other's musical phrases.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Nana," a hauntingly beautiful ballad that showcases Fresu's delicate trumpet playing and Danielsson's subtle bass lines. Another highlight is "The Well," a more upbeat track that features some impressive soloing from both musicians.
