Review by Ronald Page

To The Other Woman by Doris Duke is a soulful and emotional album that tells a story of love, heartbreak, and betrayal. The album features ten tracks that showcase Duke's powerful vocals and raw emotions.

The opening track "I Don't Care Anymore" sets the tone for the album with its melancholic melody and Duke's heart-wrenching lyrics. The album continues with tracks like "The Feeling Is Right" and "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" that showcase Duke's range and versatility as a singer.

The title track "To The Other Woman" is a standout on the album, with Duke's powerful vocals conveying the pain and anger of a betrayed lover. The track is a perfect example of Duke's ability to connect with her audience and convey complex emotions through her music.

Great record, have always loved the way she sings "Money's all gawn, dont care anymore" on the fade out.

In a fair & just world, this woman would have been a major R&B star. It certainly wasn't because she didn't have the talent - because she did. She's got more than some who were / are big stars. Life sucks sometimes.

I love her voice, this song was a B-side and I knew what she was singing about, but I still like the song

Back in the 70's I found this LP at a discount store in Minneapolis and picked up 10 LP that were like 25 cent and gave to my friends. I didn't know anything about DD and thought if the LP is no good, I didn't lose a lot of money. I love DD singing and the songs on this LP. I don't know what happen to that LP but several years ago I found the CD that had lots more music and some extras.

Just found out that Doris Duke (Doris Curry Willingham) passed away earlier this year (2019). R.I.P.

This LP is one of my most cherished possessions, and this track puts "Proud Mary" to shame. And clearly the singer-narrator does care-- it's that grief-stricken, stiff-but-trembling upper lip renunciation of caring because caring is too damn painful thing, which she so masterfully articulates, which is why I get the feels every time I hear this. I will never understand why Ms. Duke never got the recognition she deserved. But it's a cold world.

Whenever you need a pick me up in life, avoid this song.

Beverley Hills' version is also superb.

Saying how it is when it's bad as beautiful as you can from where you are, and where you don't know where to go back to. Soul in buckets and then some more. Showing the getting played---the street walking, getting played, with hungry blue travel in that big heart. Thank you Miss Duke.

I agree this song has soul
