Review by Bruce Barber

Ensemble Havadià's latest album, Finale Gocce Amare, is a stunning collection of classical pieces that showcases the ensemble's exceptional musicianship and artistry. The album features a mix of familiar and lesser-known works, all performed with precision and passion.

The opening track, "Adagio in G Minor," sets the tone for the album with its haunting melody and rich harmonies. The ensemble's use of dynamics and phrasing creates a sense of tension and release that is both dramatic and emotional.

Other standout tracks include "Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor," which features a virtuosic performance by soloists Anna Leontieva and Maria Vasilieva, and "Sinfonia in C Major," which showcases the ensemble's ability to play with lightness and agility.

Throughout the album, Ensemble Havadià demonstrates a deep understanding of the repertoire and a commitment to bringing out the beauty and complexity of each piece. The recording quality is excellent, with a warm and full-bodied sound that captures the nuances of the ensemble's performance.

About Ensemble Havadià

Ensemble Havadià was a short-lived project captained by Milanese "jew atheist" , now a well-known stage actor and comedian, and closely related to "" and 's label "". "'81-'82" collects the only two records issued by the band: the eponymous 1981 LP and the 1982 EP "Specchi". Irriverent, jocose and dynamic, this music is one of the highest peaks of the Italian "R.I.O." scene. The songs are exuberant chamber-rock divertissements, full of mockeries, calembours and sharp eccentricities. Nevertheless, the structures are extremely lucid and complicated: ubiquitous North-Italian folklore and fanfare elements clash with flabbergasting tempo shifts and early 900 classical references - daring layerings which unexpectably manage to keep light and funny; miles away from any self-indulgent prog-rock bluster.n
