Fiat Lux - Commercial Breakdown

Review by Patrik Žec

Fiat Lux's album Commercial Breakdown showcases the band's unique blend of synth-pop and new wave that made them a standout act in the 1980s. The album features a mix of upbeat tracks like "Secrets" and "Blue Emotion" as well as more introspective songs like "Sleepless Nightmare" and "House of Thorns." The standout track is undoubtedly "Feels Like Winter Again," which features haunting vocals from Steve Wright and a memorable piano melody. The album's production is clean and polished, with each instrument and vocal track given room to shine. Commercial Breakdown is a solid addition to any synth-pop or new wave fan's collection.

@deancook07 I'd sign that! The 80s was just chock-full of great bands. even ones that just put out one local single and disappeared forever. What Itunes needs to do is buckle down and aim to get ALL music on the site. I mean, there's not even any Icehouse on there and they were like HUGE. Won a bestseller award and all. I'm hoping it'll happen before 2020.

@22ndWave .My gut feelings of 2 years ago are correct, take alook as to how many 80,s bands are makeing a return, granted some of them are a bit ropey but they are selling.SO again if the powers that be took agamble and released a c.d full of forgotten80,s artist,s and thier music i,m sure it would sell.Come on everyone lets start something, anyone know how to start a petitoin and get this on the go.

Whatching this 80s stuff is for me like a window through time. I can remember seeing the band and some of the faces from their videos around Wakefield back in the day thank you for making this content available, nice one.

@deancooky Totally agree and blue zoo weren't even that obscure, they had a top ten hit with 'Cry Boy Cry'! But the companies are fickle, moneygrabbing bastards. The main reason many of these bands never made the really big time like AFOS and DD.
