Generations is a stunning album by jazz vibraphonist Gary Burton. Featuring a mix of original compositions and covers, the album showcases Burton's virtuosity and versatility as a musician. With a lineup that includes Julian Lage on guitar, Scott Colley on bass, and Antonio Sanchez on drums, the album is a masterclass in jazz improvisation and collaboration.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy "Late Night Sunrise," which features intricate interplay between Burton's vibraphone and Lage's guitar. "Remembering Tano" is a tribute to the late percussionist Armando Peraza, and features a haunting melody that builds to a powerful climax.
