Review by Nozue Yasuhiro

The album "Elizabethan Social Music English Consorts Lute Duets And Solos" by James Tyler and Members of the London Early Music Group is a delightful collection of Renaissance music. The album features a range of instruments, including lute, viola da gamba, recorder, and harpsichord, creating a rich and varied sound. The pieces are all from the Elizabethan era and evoke the sophisticated and elegant social gatherings of the time.

The performances on the album are excellent, with each musician showcasing their virtuosity and skill. The lute duets are particularly impressive, with Tyler and his fellow lutenists playing intricate and complex melodies with ease. The consort pieces are also lovely, with the viola da gamba and recorder blending together beautifully.
