Hello frody. Your posts are so interesting and so varied (not). You seem to have two missions in life. One is telling KJ fans how awful KJ is and the other is telling anybody who cares to listen, how wonderfully educated you are. Seriously frody, have you considered getting an actual life?
I was there at Theatro Municipal in Rio. KJ is the greatest. A fantastic, maybe one of the best, piano concert I've ever seen.

Seltsam, daß ausgerechnet Rio als Meisterstück angesehen wird. Für mich ist dieses Album nach den wirklich meisterhaften Radiance + Carnegie Hall ein Rückschritt in die Risikolosigkeit. Und das unglaubliche Berlin Konzert kriegen wir wohl nie komplett auf CD. Alles Auswüchse des Marketings ?

You are right about that! Donnie and Marie Osmand were amazing 2! It's such a great act. Piano, brilliant speeches at his concerts, audience scoldings for coughing. KJ is the real deal Oh,I forgot the pained expressions. I hereby award KJ the award for being the # 1 BS con man in the history of modern music. KJ should be in the Circus sideshow. B sure & checkout Umbria '07. He is a genius!!!! PS: It's OK if U cough while you're paying 4 your ticket!
Well I've seen it all now. KJ resorting to endorsements! IMO KJ is the biggest fraud in contemporary music. Plus he's obnoxious. Look at all those pathetic BS expressions. All part of a carefully planned act. Plus he insults the audience {they just put food on his table). Miles & the true artists changed music constantly. KJ has been pumping out the same "stuff" for his whole career. He's good in the trio, thanks to Jack & Gary. IMO the solo work is sonic drivel.
My opinions are based on years studying and listening to great music. You're 1 of those people that thinks any1 that doesn't agree w/ U is stupid. IMO, when a musician regularly insults the audience he's fair game. The "sensitive genius" KJ uses is made for suckers like U. If there is a heckler in an audience that's different. Look @ KJ Umbria '07. U like that crap, fine. U R not even bright enough 2 grasp ""enjoy it if U like it". KJ is a good player. Not, IMO a master. Never changed music.
I have looked at this video many times. My conclusion is that it is the greatest album of all times. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Stravinsky, Liberace etc. No one can equal it. It should be sent up in a space capsule, and played in every elevator in the world. KJ seems to be in pain. I am a world class physician, and I believe his shorts are tight. That's why he NEVER coughs.
If you get a chance, check out Chick Corea's new album "Further Explorations" w/ Eddie Gomez & the late,great, Paul Motian. The album is a tribute to the great master pianist Bill Evans. Hope U like it.
