Komputer - VTK 1

Review by Ankit Yadav

Komputer's album VTK 1 is a mesmerizing journey through the electronic music landscape. The duo, consisting of Simon Leonard and David Baker, have created a collection of tracks that are both futuristic and nostalgic at the same time. The album is a tribute to the early days of electronic music, but with a modern twist.

The opening track, "Valentina Tereshkova," sets the tone for the album with its pulsating beat and hypnotic melody. The song is named after the first woman to travel to space, and the track feels like a journey through the cosmos. The album continues with tracks like "Looking Down on London" and "Komputer Pop," which are both catchy and danceable.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The World of Tomorrow," which features a sample from the 1939 World's Fair. The song is a nod to the optimism of the past, but also a reminder of how far we've come since then. The album ends with "Window Shopping," a dreamy and atmospheric track that feels like the perfect ending to this electronic journey.
