L'épée's album Diabolique is a masterpiece of psychedelic rock with a vintage sound that transports the listener back to the 1960s. The band, formed by Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Emmanuelle Seigner of Ultra Orange & Emmanuelle, and Lionel and Marie Liminana of The Limiñanas, showcases their individual talents in a cohesive and captivating way.

The album opens with the hypnotic "Une Plage Isolée" which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The songs are full of swirling guitars, pulsating rhythms, and haunting vocals that create an otherworldly atmosphere. The standout track "Ghost Rider" features Seigner's sultry vocals over a driving beat that is sure to get stuck in your head.

Diabolique is a concept album that tells the story of a doomed romance between a man and a woman. The lyrics are in French, but the emotion conveyed in the music transcends language barriers. The album is a journey through the ups and downs of love, from the initial attraction to the bitter end.
