Review by sasha dnaestely

Meatjack Superhighway Carfire's album Split is a raw and powerful display of heavy music at its finest. The album is a collaboration between two bands, Meatjack and Superhighway Carfire, and it showcases their unique styles and sounds.

The album opens with the track "Black Type", which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its heavy riffs and aggressive vocals. The album continues with tracks like "Worms", "Bastard", and "Fist", which are all heavy hitters in their own right.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Gone", which features a more melodic sound than some of the other tracks. The song builds slowly and features some impressive guitar work before exploding into a heavy chorus.

About Meatjack Superhighway Carfire

Meatjack was a sludge/alternative metal band from the Baltimore, MD rock scene formed in the early '90s and active until 2005. Meatjack can be brutal, ferocious, noisy, and dissonant. They aren't afraid to pound listeners with sensory assault, but they also have a sense of melody and offer melodic passages that tend to be dark and eerie. Previously known as (from 1988 to 1993), then changed name to Meatjack.
