Review by Jeff Yalden

Emavungwini Down In The Dumps by Miriam Makeba is a powerful album that showcases the legendary South African singer's incredible range and depth of emotion. The album is a collection of songs that deal with the struggles of life, including poverty, oppression, and heartbreak.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Ungakanani," which translates to "What Will You Do?" The song features Makeba's soulful vocals over a haunting melody, and the lyrics address the hardships faced by those living in poverty. Another standout track is "Ngiyamthanda," a beautiful love song that showcases Makeba's softer side.

this is one of my most favorite songs from Miriam Makeba. In high school, a classmate lent me this album with "Emavugwini" on it, for 2 weeks. I haven't heard it since then. What a treat! Thanks so much for posting!
