Review by Theodorus

Sunday Sun Honey Drippin Times is the latest album by the legendary singer-songwriter Neil Diamond. The album features a mix of classic Diamond-style ballads and upbeat, foot-tapping tunes that showcase his signature style.

The album opens with the title track, "Sunday Sun Honey Drippin Times," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its catchy melody and Diamond's smooth vocals. Other standout tracks include "The Ballad of Saving Silverman," a poignant ballad about lost love, and "Love on the Rocks," a classic Diamond hit that never fails to get audiences singing along.

The album also features a number of collaborations with other artists, including the soulful "Beautiful Noise" with Barbra Streisand and the upbeat "Sweet Caroline" with Elvis Presley. Diamond's duet with Linda Ronstadt on "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" is another highlight, showcasing the two artists' incredible vocal chemistry.

This is my all-time favourite song from his 3rd studio album-Velvet Gloves and Spit, and the best part of the song I like when the female backing vocalists performing the baby segment, and reminds him on stage with them on backstage and what a great performance from Neil Diamond himself, and I still like it so much ever, and I`d like to dedicate to a staff member who`s an avid Neil Diamond fan.

Who can forget the cool, long haired, young and debonair New Yorker, sitting in an old rocking chair on the front porch, cowboy boots, guitar in his hands, pitcher of ale beside him with the sun going down in a glorious sunset behind him and his fencing foil over the mantle piece......aaaaaahhhhhhhh where have those days gone? Take me back there any day away from this digital world.

now that was country in my mind. rocking chair making fried chicken, collards, playing miss Mary Mack, playing cards, sliding down the grassy hill. yes those were my memory lanes.

Yes! I will agree that Neil composed the 'perfect summer song' with this tune...but, he had injected his musical charms into other 'summer songs' as well: "Honey Drippin' Times

During the summer of 2005, I was Neil Diamond's chauffeur for the week or so when he stayed at the Townsend in Birmingham, MI. It was 18 hours per day in August, in a black suit, but it was a lot of fun. The Archangel people were great folks to work with. Anyways, as is often the case, I found myself waiting for about 30 minutes or so when the concert ended. For anyone who has never spent much time backstage, entertainers like Neil Diamond really do work very hard at their jobs, physically and emotionally. So, there is almost always this waiting period for chauffeurs after the show...the entertainers need to recover a bit before leaving the venue.

I was at the loading dock at the Palace in Auburn Hills, waiting for Mr. Diamond and his significant to come out. As the fans were streaming out, we (Indian Trails driver, Palace security, etc.) would ask random people 'How was the show?' I've done my share of these jobs, so let me say, Neil Diamond's concertgoers were almost universally elated when they exited the venue. More so than most every performer I'd worked for, it was my impression that Mr. Diamond's fans got the better end of the deal with regards to the admission price.

Thanks, Neil Diamond (and Craig and Dana from Archangel) for a very memorable time in 2005.
