Ockultist - Demo 2016

Review by Ashley Arnold

Ockultist's Demo 2016 is a powerful and intense debut release that showcases the band's talent and potential. The album features four tracks that blend elements of black metal, death metal, and thrash metal to create a sound that is both raw and polished.

The opening track, "Transcendental," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its fast-paced riffing and aggressive vocals. The following track, "The Blackest Sun," slows things down a bit with a more atmospheric and melodic approach, but still maintains the band's trademark intensity.

The third track, "The Serpent's Tongue," is perhaps the most impressive on the album, with its complex time signatures and intricate guitar work. The final track, "Apotheosis," brings the album to a close with a crushing display of raw power and aggression.
