Review by James Coates

Life Review 1993-2003 by Shadow Ring is a compilation album that showcases the experimental sounds and unique style of the British band. The album features tracks from their early releases, as well as previously unreleased material and live recordings.

The album opens with the eerie and haunting "City Lights", which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The band's use of unconventional instruments and sound effects creates an otherworldly atmosphere that is both unsettling and captivating.

The album features a range of styles, from the psychedelic "Rollercoaster" to the more upbeat and catchy "I'm Some Songs". The band's use of spoken word and found sounds adds to the overall feeling of unpredictability and experimentation.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "An Indication of the Cause", which features a haunting melody and haunting vocals. The track builds to a crescendo, with layers of sound and vocals creating a powerful and captivating experience.
