Comments
Slough Feg's Hardworlder finds the band dealing once again with warfare, rocking issues and folk-ish songwriting, but the album is a step down, compared to Atavism, due also to the presence of two covers of the Horslips and Manilla Road.
This shit is fucking amazing! PERFECTION!
I discovered Slough Feg in (roughly) 2008, and this was my first record of theirs, and one of a handful of the records that would kick off my love of Traditional Metal, along with Manilla Road. (Ongoing!)
15 years later...and...somehow...by some measure...it sounds even better. What the hell is this monster of an epic record? Humans made this?
I just listened to Poisoned Treasure again after a long while. How are lyrics this good? Ever? Even the cadence, everything.
Okay, I'm done. Listen to Slough Feg, everybody.

Muy bueno!
5:31 the opening reminds me of "Fiddler on the Green" for some reason
Damn, these guys are so underrated! First heard them in 2009 (Hiberno Latin Invasion) and really loved their style!
This one's always been near the top for me in terms of SF albums.
That riff in Hardworlder reminds me of SOAD's Holy Mountains
Best band!
I wish they'd tour in Australia.
I don't think this band is underrated. Maybe among mainstream audiences who don't listen to metal, but in the underground, this band are universally admired. Not just by people who like tradtional/epic metal - by everyone. People who love Death Metal also love this band.
The underground loves them, and they deserve the love. I've never seen a bad review for a LWSF album, everyone who has heard it has pretty much loved it from the first listen. I think the appeal stretches beyond metal audiences, most people who enjoy good music in general would also warm to it.
259 likes, 3 dislikes - those 3 people probably didn't listen to the album, or they are just retards. Either way, the likes reflect the unanimous feeling towards this band in the underground

Streetjammer is a manilla road cover by the way.
*THE REASON THEY'RE SO UNDERRATED IS THEY DON'T PLAY THE MIDWEST US!!*
I'm gonna need to give this one more listen ?
Been a fan since 2009. The musicianship, the lyrics, the cryptic references to other albums future and past, tying the whole discography together, the imagery, there is nothing else that quite gives me the same feeling as listening to Slough Feg.
Why so underrated??
I know Traveller is the favorite among fans but this is my favorite Slough Feg album.
This is actually a legendary band with very exceptional music which not everyone is able to get used and understand.
love it
From 1:18 my heart was forever theirs....
