Stargard's album "Theme Song From Which Way Is Up" is a soulful and funky masterpiece. Released in 1977, the album features the hit title track, which was also the theme song for the comedy film of the same name.

The album's opening track, "What You Waitin' For," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its groovy bassline and powerful vocals. The album also features a cover of the classic Stevie Wonder song "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours," which Stargard gives their own unique twist to.

Other standout tracks on the album include "Which Way Is Up," "Disco Rufus," and "The Force." Stargard's harmonies are impeccable, and their use of horns and strings gives the album a rich and full sound.

I built a homemade "talkbox" for my electric guitar...this is my favorite song to do with it. When this came out in '77, along with also loving the song "Flashlight"...was my introduction to Funk. I started playing guitar shortly after. Still jammin' those tracks.
