Trisomie 21's latest album, T21 Plays The Pictures, is a mesmerizing collection of ambient soundscapes and haunting melodies. The French electronic duo, comprised of brothers Philippe and Hervé Lomprez, have been producing music for over three decades and have garnered a dedicated following for their unique blend of post-punk, new wave, and synthpop.

T21 Plays The Pictures is a departure from their usual song-based approach, instead opting for a more experimental, instrumental sound. The album is a tribute to the art of cinema, with each track named after a different film. The music is atmospheric and cinematic, with a dreamlike quality that transports the listener to another world.

The album opens with "Le Secret", a brooding instrumental that sets the tone for the rest of the album. "La Jetée" is a standout track, with its pulsing rhythm and haunting melody. T21 are Philippe and Hervé Lomprez, two brothers from Denain, in the North of France, near Lille (200 km from Paris). The name, pronounced tree-zho-mee vahnt-ay-un, derives from Trisomy 21, the medical term for the extra chromosome resulting in Down Syndrome.
