Various - Wanted Dead Or Alive Little People Got To Get Me A Job Humpty Dump

Review by Ed Brancheau

The album Wanted Dead Or Alive Little People Got To Get Me A Job Humpty Dump by Various is a mixed bag of musical styles and sounds. Featuring tracks from a variety of artists, the album offers a range of genres including rock, blues, and folk.

The opening track, "Wanted Dead or Alive," sets the tone for the album with its upbeat rock sound and catchy chorus. Other standout tracks include "Little People," a bluesy number with soulful vocals, and "Got To Get Me A Job," a folk-inspired tune with a catchy melody.

While the album certainly has its high points, there are also some tracks that fall flat. "Humpty Dump," for example, is a jarring and disjointed track that feels out of place among the other songs on the album.

@CASHADO if you're a purist, i can't help you. But this tune and 'Wanted, Dead, or Alive ' are both on Norman Jay's legendary 'Journey's by DJ' mix, which I'm sure you can find somewhere. Other highlights are 'If it don't turn you on' by B.T Express and 'Make me believe in you' by Patti Jo. If you're really lucky you'll find the double-CD version with Gilles Peterson's mix featuring Rotary Connection's 'I am the black gold of the sun', Letta Mbulu's 'What is wrong with groovin' and many others

The 70s is like the mafia. Just when I try to come out of it there's another track that reels me back in.

"Get yourself together, git yo self together, git yo self together!, git yo self together!, git yo self together!, git yo self together!, git yo self together!, git yo self together!"....Young Disciples!

Amazing sound! I really like this oldie by TVOEH. At the beginning I can hear the sampled part a group called "Young Disciples" may have used....They're another awesome group. I believe it was at the intro of "Apparently Nothing"
