Review by Nick Fromhold

Yukon's album "Understanding Is Sorrow Save My World" is a compelling and emotionally-charged collection of songs that showcase the band's unique blend of post-rock, shoegaze, and ambient influences. From the driving rhythms and soaring guitars of "Sorrow Is Understanding" to the haunting beauty of "Save My World," the album takes listeners on a journey through a range of moods and textures.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Curtain," which features a mesmerizing, hypnotic riff that builds to a powerful climax. Another highlight is "Paralyzed," a hauntingly beautiful ballad that showcases the band's ability to create lush, atmospheric soundscapes.

'Understanding is Sorrow' sounds vaguely familiar, like I heard it 50 years ago or something.

Good tune!

@bobby becker can you tell me more about Mike Lehman? Did he live at 15 Ellis Ave. in Kitchener? If so, I live in his family's old home. I've met them and they are really nice people.

Understanding is Sorrow is a great song. My local am radio station gave their cover of "Gotta Get a Message to You" a lot of air play back when it first came out. I loved their version of it. Up until your update, I wondered if I had my facts right because I haven't heard it since then. I'm wondering if anyone has it to upload. Sure would be nice to hear it again

Dennis Coffey and Mike Theodore produced the records--actually--the music tracks were recorded by the Funk Brothers --Sussex was the label and they were anxious to get a record out ASAP--The members of Yukon did all of the vocals along with Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent Wilson from Tony Orlando and Dawn--- on this first release which reached #73 on the Billboard charts that summer--We recorded 1 more single -Falllen Angel and Flying Machine My name-Bobby Becker--I live in Canada--I still play
