About Dancing On Fire
Hailing from the National Capital Region of Ottawa Canada, Dancing On Fire was formed in 2008 by guitarist/vocalist Wayne James Bouchard and drummer Richard Boivin. That same year they independently released their debut album "Technical Support" as a duo, before solidifying the lineup with bassist/vocalist Rick Davoice in 2009.
Dancing On Fire spent most of 2008 and 2009 on the road, promoting the album with shows in Canada, culminating with a slot at the Montebello Rockfest, Canada's largest rock music festival. In between playing shows, the band perfected new songs and entered the studio in November to record their self-titled second album. Following another appearance at the Montebello Rockfest and the release of their second album in September 2010, Dancing On Fire went on hiatus.
Fast forward to July 2017; Wayne, Rick and Richard reunited with the intent of making new music. The band spent that winter in the studio recording two new singles. "Back In Town" was released in March 2018, followed by their first show in 8 years in May, just in time for the band's 10th anniversary. A second single, "Equilibrium" was released in June.
After a few more gigs, the band locked themselves in their jam space to work on more material and entered the studio in November to start recording their comeback album. They took a short break in December to release "Xmas N Stuff
