Harlem Woogie is an album that features the legendary pianist James P Johnson and his orchestra. The album is a great representation of the Harlem Renaissance and the music that came out of that era. The album features some of the best jazz musicians of the time, including Benny Carter, Chu Berry, and Sid Catlett.
The album is full of energy and showcases Johnson's incredible piano playing. The title track, "Harlem Woogie," is a classic that captures the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance. The album also features some great ballads, such as "If I Could be with You One Hour Tonight" and "Sweet Lorraine."
The album is a great example of the swing music that was popular during the 1930s. The musicianship is top-notch, and the arrangements are excellent. The album is a must-have for anyone who loves jazz music.
