These fucker's where my first show I was 15 I'm 40 now still love them
SXE in the 90's basically became the new skinhead. It was like a football team for insecure males that wanted to play tough guy. When given membership, they also got a self righteous pass. 'Hey I don't drink or get high but I can physically assault innocents and degrade young women, and be a smart ass about it'. It's the perceived value that gives that false euphoria of comradery, they feel so empowered running around together in their little crew. Most grow out of it. You can't play high school football forever, nor can you play the straight edge game. Fall Silent wrote Looking In and exposed the lie that is SXE and the blind fanatics hated them for it. Regardless the counter argument SXE groomed some of the biggest pieces of shit in hardcore when they should've been it's guardians.
I loved this CD, until I sat on it. I'll always remember them at Koo's Cafe introducing themselves as "Fall Sellout"... also, "negative edge" didn't last. In fact, a lot of those dudes ended up doing more drugs than anyone did that they hated years before! Don't follow religions kids.. 6:57
I was just thinking about that story. Really, though, I still love the band. Funny thing is, they did, too. I believe they actually told them, "hey, we really like you guys. Just don't play Looking In." Thinking back on it, I can kinda appreciate the balls that took.

About 15-20 yrs ago they were touring with Unra and came through N.Falls Ny. They crashed at my house for the weekend. They were all cool dudes!

I will never forget when they performed in the Sparks High Gym. This band made high school bearable.
Still my favorite hardcore band of all time.
