Hey Southhawk, these guys were a fantastic group with dance moves to rival the Temptations. I used to watch them in the early 70's and even shared a stage with them as a member of The Fabulous DelTones in Chicago. Thanks for posting this.

The late and great singer/songwriter David Lasley co-wrote this classic little tune. His songs have been recorded by numerous artists including Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, Bonnie Raitt, Chaka khan, Tina Turner, Box Scaggs and more...

The V Wagers to me was one of the greatest group performers I ever witnessed. I used to see them at The Green Bunny in Chicago. Their showmanship was the best in town and I've always been surprised I didn't see them on the national scene. I once saw them perform The Dells' tune "Baby It's All Up To You". Their choreography was so tight and precise, the Temptations would have envied them. Some of the venues mentioned in other comments bring back memories of the Chicago night life scene in the 70's. The V Wagers were the best!

Thanks for posting this song. Brings back memories. I played keyboards and traveled with them back I the 70's. Anybody remember the Green Bunny on Ashland? We also played the Burning Spear quite often. Chi-town legends back in the day.
