Review by Dr. Janice Presser

Make Believe Ol Man River by Henry King And His Orchestra is a delightful album that showcases the band's talent and versatility. The album features a range of jazz standards and popular songs from the 1920s and 30s, all performed with the band's signature style and flair.

The album's title track, "Make Believe Ol Man River," is a standout, with its lively tempo and catchy melody. Other highlights include "Ain't Misbehavin'," "St. Louis Blues," and "I Can't Give You Anything But Love."

One of the album's strengths is the excellent musicianship of the band members. Henry King's trumpet playing is particularly impressive, and the other musicians - including saxophonist Benny Carter and pianist Teddy Wilson - all shine in their respective roles.
