Holy Sons' latest album, Criminals Return, is a haunting and introspective journey through the mind of a troubled individual. From the opening track, "Aged Wine," the listener is transported to a world of dark thoughts and emotions. The album is a mix of acoustic and electric guitars, with occasional bursts of distortion and feedback. The vocals are often understated, adding to the overall mood of the album.

One standout track is "Wax Gets in Your Eyes," which features a beautiful guitar melody and lyrics that are both sad and hopeful. Another highlight is "Held the Hand," a slow-burning ballad that builds to a powerful climax.

About Holy Sons

One-man band started around 1992 after Emil Amos' previous hardcore band broke up. He started recording songs on his four-track alone. Several eras of recordings were put to tape in hermetic therapy sessions and in that time at least 1000 songs were recorded. However, only a few dozen appeared in the form of a release, and only a couple of shows were played for reasons that have still not been fully explained.
