Review by Nasir Ahmed Apu

Push Wood by Jackie Opel is a classic album that showcases the artist's exceptional talent and versatility. With a mix of ska, rocksteady, and reggae, the album offers a diverse range of musical styles that are both energetic and soulful.

Opel's unique voice and powerful delivery are evident in every track, from the upbeat ska rhythms of "You're No Good" and "Push Wood" to the smooth ballad "Eternal Love." The album also features collaborations with some of Jamaica's most iconic musicians, including the Skatalites and the Wailers.

One standout track is "Cry Me a River," a soulful ballad that showcases Opel's incredible vocal range and emotive delivery. Another highlight is "Turn Your Lamp Down Low," a reggae-infused track that features Opel's signature falsetto and catchy melodies.
