About Philyaw Brothers

t James and Myrl Philyaw were actually cousins from rural Jones County, N.C. They had two recording sessions in N.Y.C. in 1937 providing material for several releases on the Vocalion and various other A.R.C. "dime store" labels. They returned home to farm in North Carolina and made no further recordings.
