Review by Kai Roer

The album "You're Driving Me Crazy Charley My Boy" by Temperance Seven is a delightful collection of vintage jazz tunes that will transport listeners back to the roaring 20s. The band's playful and energetic style is evident throughout the album, with each track showcasing their impeccable musicianship and infectious sense of fun.

From the upbeat opener "Charleston" to the sultry "My Blue Heaven", the album is a masterclass in swing and jazz. The band's use of a variety of instruments, including banjos, trumpets, and saxophones, creates a rich and layered sound that is both toe-tapping and soothing.

Standout tracks include the lively "Pasadena" and the smooth and romantic "I Can't Give You Anything But Love". The vocals on the album are also noteworthy, with the charming and charismatic singing adding an extra layer of charm to the already delightful music.

Variations on a summit meeting by Lord Rockingham's XI and Kenny Ball. You've gotta love it. I do.

Muy buena recreación en los 60s del jazz tradicional de los 30s.

I met Shirley Bassey in Blackpool record shop I would be 16 she helped me look for the temperance seven record I think she was singing at The Opera house. The guy in the record shop asked if I knew who was talking to me. I had no idea at the time she would be about 26. Just remember how nice she was with me. I ve loved her singing ever since. And it is a special memory.
