Review by Christopher Bryant

Love Cat, the third album by Toy, is a captivating blend of shoegaze and psychedelic rock that perfectly captures the band's signature sound. The album features 11 tracks that are a mix of dreamy and intense, with each song taking the listener on a journey through the band's musical universe. The opening track, "Sequence One," sets the tone for the album with its hypnotic guitar riffs and atmospheric vocals.

The album's standout tracks include "Mechanism," a hauntingly beautiful song that builds to a crescendo of distorted guitars and synths, and "Energy," a catchy and upbeat track that showcases the band's ability to create infectious melodies. "Jolt Awake" is another highlight, with its driving drumbeat and soaring guitar riffs that create an intense and thrilling listening experience.

Throughout the album, Toy's musicianship is on full display, with each member contributing to the band's unique sound. The production is also top-notch, with the band's layered instrumentation creating a lush and immersive sonic landscape.
